Our Organisation & online technologies

Once I worked out the new time line format in Facebook and its slightly different features our page took on a different look
  • I was able to keep certain posts "pinned"at the top ,this is useful for class advertising or a local link of interest.
  • Working out how to post to other pages to spread the word of our organisation has been useful, and its FREE!!!
  • I also post links of interest ,this keeps people coming back to your page .
  • Picture's do create a greater response in the "viral "sense .
  • pages that we like can be featured,so this is useful with local business and government partnerships
  • I use the stats regulary ,this way I can see what people are interested in most

  •  Our eMentor Junita Lyon and eChampion Leo have been a wealth of information and support to our organisation, without all the online sessions and face to face meetings we wouldnt have gone as far as we have exploring new options.

  • We currently use Blackboard Collaborate to attend our ACFE Regional meetings as the distance to travel is costly and time consuming (2.5hrs one way)

  • I have been trying to introduce the use of Blackboard collaborate to our East Gippsland Network of Neighbourhood House so we can all join meetings particulary those from romote areas.
We will be trialling a online meeting using Blackboard Collaborate from Lakes Entrance on the 20th June 2012
Meeting online 20th June 2012 using Blackboard Collaborate to hold our network meeting,,Neighbourhood House coordinators from Mallacoota (3.5hrs away from Lakes Entrance meeting)  Bennambra (2.5 hrs away) and Swifts creek ( 1.5 hrs away). These are oneway time frames.
